The best soil for optimal production in orange farms is loamy-sandy, composed of silica sand with some clay and lime. It should be light to medium textured soil, meaning it should not be excessively sandy, deep, and with good drainage, allowing water to pass through without causing waterlogging. Additionally, its pH should be between 5.5 and 6.5.
